If you’re looking for jelly or preserve recipes, you’re in the wrong place. Jelly is an every-so-often casual co-working session. Bring your laptop, art supplies, or whatever, and work alongside other creative, fun people. It’s informal, casual, and (tends to be) productive. Typical participants include freelancers, entrepreneurs, programmers, designers, work-at-home types, web geeks, artists, writers, anyone.
If you miss the constant distractions and loud annoying (but sometimes interesting) conversations going on right next to you, then this might be a great opportunity for you. It’s a great way to build the type of relationships that you had when you worked at “real” office, but with some great advantages. For example if you don’t want to attend you won’t get fired. Remember when folks would stop by your cube and say “Hey want to have lunch?”.
This is not a “networking” group. If you see this as a place to make “important contacts” then this is probably not the place for you. If you want to just hang out with a bunch of folks in pretty much the same boat as you then we hope to see you there!
